Gingerbread Latte

The first time I have ever tried a gingerbread latte was at costa last year when they had their christmas special drinks.
I am not the biggest fan of strong ginger but to me this didn't even taste like ginger let along gingerbread. Disappointment.
I have recently noticed in some cafes in NZ recently they have... gingerbread lattes. Surprise surprise NZ being late as usual.

The other day Mum and I went into a local bakery to get some of their delicious bread and a strangely a Keep cup. To our delight when we purchased the cup they said it came with a free hot drink and there it was the famous gingerbread lattes so I thought i'd better give them another chance, and I am so glad I did! Now that is what I called a real ginger flavor. However the next time I went back I wouldn't be as lucky to get the drink free and then I thought how hard is it to make my own and above all its cheaper too!

This was what I came up with...

Ingredients
1/4 tsp Ginger
1/4 tsp cinnamon
2-3 drops of vanilla essence
1 tsp maple syrup (Stevia)
1 cup of milky coffee

Optional
Dairy Whipp Cream (lite)
Hot water

We have a Nespresso machine at home so I made a full milk Livanto coffee and added my other bits and bobs.
I also tried it with warm milk and instant coffee which also worked too so you don't need any fancy gadgets which is a bonus.
