There are so many different kinds of single serving desserts. From chocolate chip cookies to brownies, coffee cake, parfaits, and so many more.
My favourite one in particular would have to be the chocolate brownie which I will put up sometime this week.
I was inspired to give these popular desserts a go after making (and eating) the recipe off one of my favourite recipes sites, http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/ Mum and I made one to share as we didn't know how it would turn out, to our delight it was gone before dad got home and we ended up making another one (just couldn't resist).
SO the other night I was making desserts for mum and dad and they said "surprise me" so I ended up making my first single serving cookie, luckily it worked first go!
You will need
A mug
Ingredients (listed below)
A spoon
Vanilla Ice Cream (optional)
Ingredients
2 Tbsp all purpose flour (if using GF flour add 1/3 tsp baking powder)
1 1/2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
A drop of essence (vanilla, or caramel)
2 Tbsp melted margarine
Chocolate drops (how ever many you like)
2 tsp milk (if the mixture is too doughy)
1/2 Tbsp maple syrup, to taste
Directions
First of all melt the margarine in the mug you will be using, approximately 20 seconds in the microwave.
Add all the other ingredients, leaving the chocolate chips till last. Mix together until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
Microwave on high for 40 seconds and ta-dah!
If you have a favourite cake or muffin but hate the hassle of cleaning so many dishes or they end up going to waste, comment them below and I will create single serving sized versions. :)
