Caramel Slice

Every time I asked my family what I should bake for this week, my sister would say "Caramel Slice" but me being me made up excuses... "We don't have the ingredients"...  but eventually I gave in.
WARNING: This recipe is rather large and "Isn't too sickly" so I would start practicing those resisting skills. This recipe is not 100% guilt free and should be eaten in moderation. But it is a delicious treat for every now and then :)

 Preheat oven to 180˚C.
Line a 30cm by 20cm tin or tart tin with baking paper.
Base/Top

 170g Margarine
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
1/3 Cup Coconut Sugar
1 tsp Vanilla Essence
2 Cups GF Healtheries Baking Flour
1/2 Cup Quinoa Flour (works with Coconut Flour or any GF flours)
1 1/2 - 2 tsp Baking Powder
1 Cup Shredded Coconut
1/4 Cup Cacao Powder (if you do not have this, normal cocoa powder is fine!)

Filling

1 Can Lite, Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Can Caramel
1-2 Tbsp Golden Syrup (depending on how sweet you like it)

In a large bowl beat: Butter, Sugar, and Vanilla until soft and creamy.
Add: Flour, Baking Powder, Coconut, Cacao and mix well.
Firmly press 3/4 of the mixture into the tin and put in refrigerator while you prepare the filling.
Mix together: Condensed Milk, Caramel, and Golden Syrup in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute and mix together until smooth.
Refrigerate for approximately 10-20minutes. (While you lick the dishes clean)
Remove from fridge. Pour the filling into the prepared base. Sprinkle the remaining mixture on top of the caramel filling.
Bake for 30-35minutes, when the top has crisped and slice is cooked through.
Cool. Store in refrigerator. If there is any left... :)
 ENJOY! I know I did.
